Ou Est Le Swimming Pool is a Pop group out of Camden, London. These guys were first put on my radar when Tiesto released a house remix of “These New Knights”. Since then, they’ve been remixed by others such as Armand Van Helden and even tapped on to open for La Roux in early 2010.

Yes, the dude in that picture is the same guy who was the lead singer of Fall Out Boy. Fresh off the Jenny Craig diet, Patrick Stump is in the process of launching his solo career and has released two versions of his new single, “Spotlight”. The “Oh Nostalgia” and “New Regrets” versions have been opened up for voting in order to decide which will be released with his new album. My money’s on Nu Regrets.

Arkarna is an electro pop group out of London consisting of Ollie Jacobs and Matt Hart. Ollie has collaborated with everyone from The Prodigy to Barry Manilow. These guys are have been on hiatus but recently returned to the studio to record a new album.

The Naked and Famous is an electro alternative group out of New Zealand. “Young Blood” debut at number one on the New Zealand Singles Chart and stayed there for 12 consecutive weeks. These guys are about to kick off a tour at the end of December. You can find tickets here.

The only thing I could think of is that Banana’s are the favorite fruit. Turns out their like sixth on the list…

Does that mean there’s some type of “Banana Conspiracy” going on behind the scenes?

Do Banana Farmers muscle others out of the fruit business?

Sarah McIntosh produced and released “Warriors” last year and has since worked with people that have had helping hands in Bjork, Razorlight, and Foo Fighter releases. I highly recommend diving further into this artist. The versatility found in each of their songs is quite refreshing.

Hell yea, I’m amped. I was sent this track out of Bunny Lake a few hours ago and had to run downtown for some errands. I threw it on a playlist and headed out.

The ride there was pretty uneventful but when I went to park, all I can say is holy shit yes.

How does parking turn into an event?

Simple.

Parking garage.
Twelve Stories.
Two Lanes.
One Incoming.
One Outgoing.

These cars are just ripping around these corners. Accelerating out of one corner of the garage, slamming the brakes as they approach the next. Then throwing their car into a drift around the corner and repeating until their cars reach daylight. With Bunny Lake playing it was like some shit straight out of Initial D and before I knew it I was in the race.

Ohh and before I forget! Disco Demons is having a remix contest for the song above. Winner gets a hundred big ones and their remix official released via a remix EP in early Spring, 2011. Details can be found here.

I was big into The Limousines about a year or so ago when they released “Very Busy People”. Then when I lost most of my music because my hard drive crashed, they fell off my radar. I had iTunes on shuffle other day and one of their songs came up so I decided to check up on the guys.

Moral of the story?

Back your shit up. …and by shit I mean files. not ass.

Since then, they’ve released an album called Get Sharp and released a video for the album’s single. I’ve been watching The Walking Dead lately and instantly fell in love with the video for “Internet Killed The Video Star”. The Limousines also have a few upcoming concert dates, two of which they are supporting Weezer. You can find info here.

In mid 2007 until late 2008, Martin Bonventre toured with RATATAT on keys. Fast forward to present day and we have the debut album out of his new band, The French Kings. I enjoy that “Ladies and Gentlemen” doesn’t elude to the obvious influence from his time on the road with RATATAT.

Before I dive into this great new band I need to talk about a dream I just woke up from.

In this dream, I was at the premier of the new Twilight movie… Don’t ask me why, I’m just as confused as you at this point.

Anyways, I’m at this red carpet event and I have a sign with me that I’m carrying around in protest.

I look up to read this sign and it reads, “Out with Pattinson, In with Heder.”

Jon Heder is the dude who played Napoleon Dynamite.

So now I’m awake and confuzzled…

Is someone trying to extract information from my dreams?

…or trying to plant ideas in my head for a greater purpose?

Am I still dreaming? DUN DUN DUN!

Any theories? I’m all ears.

On to the music. I was lookin feelin’ like a million bucks, I stumbled upon this next song and now I’m fresh dressed. The Cassette Kids hail from Sydney. They recently returned to the studio after a massive tour circuit in which they played along side of The Ting Things, Crystal Castles and the Presets.
