Arkarna is an electro pop group out of London consisting of Ollie Jacobs and Matt Hart. Ollie has collaborated with everyone from The Prodigy to Barry Manilow. These guys are have been on hiatus but recently returned to the studio to record a new album.

The Naked and Famous is an electro alternative group out of New Zealand. “Young Blood” debut at number one on the New Zealand Singles Chart and stayed there for 12 consecutive weeks. These guys are about to kick off a tour at the end of December. You can find tickets here.

KANYE POST! I JUST FINISHED UP THE VIDEO FOR KAYNE WEST’S VIDEO – RUNAWAY. YOU CAN VIEW THE FULL-LENGTH VIDEO ABOVE.

THE GOOD…


FIRST THINGS FIRST, THE VIDEO IS BEAUTIFULLY SHOT AND HAS A HEAVY FOCUS ON VISUAL AESTHETICS. RUNAWAY SUCCESSFULLY INCORPORATES A SOLID CONCEPT FROM START TO FINISH.

THE BAD…

THE DIALOG IS A LITTLE WEAK. FOR THE AMOUNT OF ANALOGIES AND METAPHORS IN KANYE’S LYRICS, I EXPECTED JUST A LITTLE MORE.


UNFORTUNATELY, I DON’T THINK THIS WILL HIT HOME THE WAY KANYE IS HOPING IT WILL. HOWEVER, “RUNAWAY” DOES OPEN A DOOR TO A WORLD SOME MUSICIANS HAVE LONG FORGOTTEN ABOUT.

DIRECTED BY MARCO BRAMBILLA, THE VIDEO ALSO TRIBUTES SALVADOR DALI’S PIECE WITH PHILIPPE HALSMAN AND SETS AN IMPENDING TONE OF INEVITABLE CATACLYSM AND SLOW BURNING CATASTROPHE.

I WASN’T AWARE MTV PLAYED MUSIC ANYMORE.

I’ve been addicted to “The Fire” from The Roots ninth studio album “How I Got Over” since I first heard it. The beautifully shot music video debuted a couple days and just furthers my appreciation for the song. I’ve been pretty obsessed with post apocalyptic scenarios for quite awhile now so this is right up my alley.

Ever thought about how you would survive at the end of the world?
