Hell yea, I’m amped. I was sent this track out of Bunny Lake a few hours ago and had to run downtown for some errands. I threw it on a playlist and headed out.
The ride there was pretty uneventful but when I went to park, all I can say is holy shit yes.

How does parking turn into an event?
Simple.
Parking garage.
Twelve Stories.
Two Lanes.
One Incoming.
One Outgoing.
These cars are just ripping around these corners. Accelerating out of one corner of the garage, slamming the brakes as they approach the next. Then throwing their car into a drift around the corner and repeating until their cars reach daylight. With Bunny Lake playing it was like some shit straight out of Initial D and before I knew it I was in the race.
Ohh and before I forget! Disco Demons is having a remix contest for the song above. Winner gets a hundred big ones and their remix official released via a remix EP in early Spring, 2011. Details can be found here.

I was big into The Limousines about a year or so ago when they released “Very Busy People”. Then when I lost most of my music because my hard drive crashed, they fell off my radar. I had iTunes on shuffle other day and one of their songs came up so I decided to check up on the guys.
Moral of the story?
Back your shit up. …and by shit I mean files. not ass.

Since then, they’ve released an album called Get Sharp and released a video for the album’s single. I’ve been watching The Walking Dead lately and instantly fell in love with the video for “Internet Killed The Video Star”. The Limousines also have a few upcoming concert dates, two of which they are supporting Weezer. You can find info here.

First of all, I hope you had a great thanksgiving.
Second of all, I think I saw the stupidest thing ever on the news last night…
Opening scene, Caucasian men dressed up as an Indians and others dressed up as Settlers. Second scene, three shots of all the men sitting down eating dinner together. All pretty normal so far.
This is where is gets retarded…
One of the men actually says to the Newscaster, “Well, I think it’s about time we all get together, forgive each other and our differences, and enjoy each others company.”
Now, I’m not knocking the message. I’m just saying if it’s forgiveness your looking for old man I’m sure there’s an Indian reservation just down the road. *Shrug*
I’ve been addicted to this Neo Tokyo remix of “Sleepyhead” lately. Passion Pit is currently on tour until the end of December and you can find a date near you here.

Robyn released a new album entitled “Body Talk” this last Monday and I’ve been looking mad forward to this album since she released “Dancing On My Own”. With tracks featuring Snoop Dogg, Röyksopp, and Spoek Mathambo, this album is bound to have something for you. A-trak dropped this remix of Indestructible with a nice electro-orchestral vibe yesterday as if to say, “Here’s your cherry on top”.

In mid 2007 until late 2008, Martin Bonventre toured with RATATAT on keys. Fast forward to present day and we have the debut album out of his new band, The French Kings. I enjoy that “Ladies and Gentlemen” doesn’t elude to the obvious influence from his time on the road with RATATAT.

I couldn’t help but LOL at Owl City when he said in an interview, “I’ve never heard of The Postal Service.” Then a few months later, guess who he unintentionally admitted was his number one influence.

So thank you Martin, this is a great album out of your new band The French Kings and your not playing us for chumps. A tip of the hat to you sir.

The Glitch Mob is fresh off their US/Australian tour and has retired to their laboratory. Before locking the doors behind themselves, we’ve been given a giant Nosaj remix out of Boreta.

Before I dive into this great new band I need to talk about a dream I just woke up from.
In this dream, I was at the premier of the new Twilight movie… Don’t ask me why, I’m just as confused as you at this point.
Anyways, I’m at this red carpet event and I have a sign with me that I’m carrying around in protest.
I look up to read this sign and it reads, “Out with Pattinson, In with Heder.”
Jon Heder is the dude who played Napoleon Dynamite.
So now I’m awake and confuzzled…
Is someone trying to extract information from my dreams?
…or trying to plant ideas in my head for a greater purpose?
Am I still dreaming? DUN DUN DUN!
Any theories? I’m all ears.
On to the music. I was lookin feelin’ like a million bucks, I stumbled upon this next song and now I’m fresh dressed. The Cassette Kids hail from Sydney. They recently returned to the studio after a massive tour circuit in which they played along side of The Ting Things, Crystal Castles and the Presets.

I’ve got two gems out of solo acts to share today. Both of these guys I’ve actually done a post about other remix acts they are a part of. This will be a bit of contrast in sound, one being very clean and the other being dirty. Both have excellent production quality that fills the sound spectrum.
Kill Paris is a electro producer out of Sarasota, FL who has been releasing some HEAVY tracks lately. The drop in “Ellipse” just destroys everything in it’s path.

Pao Pao is a new project out of Fredrick Carlsson. Best know for his “1901″ remix, Carlsson has decided to take more of an indie approach with this act and has been releasing material that isn’t necessarily defined by one certain genre of music. The production on his “0011″ remix is very clean, this allows you to enjoy all the different tonalities that are present in the track.
