Definition is an hip hop artist out of Andover, Britain. “The Roots” switches back and forth between being fairly mellow and then coming on a little more aggressive. The ambient vocals give the track an anchor and fill the space out nicely. This made an instant home on my playlist.

I know, great stuff right? Mikky Ekko is a post-pop solo artist out of Nashville, TN who released their debut album in 2009. It’s refreshing to get some music in with such an organic sound. Keep your eyes peeled for his second studio album which will debut in the near future.

Moving right along, we’ve got a Jose Gonzalez remix out of Don E to kick back to. I’ve always been a huge fan of UK garage and was sold the moment the drums were introduced in this track. With similar ambient elements in his music, it’s easy to see why Don notes Circa Survive as his biggest music influence.

Otaku No Denki is an electronic band out of the UK. “Light Years From Home’s” waltz to common time, vocal harmonies, and floating synth melodies give this track an utmost enchanting quality.
